REMEMBER THIS ?
Well we have won this one, the government have dropped the proposed alterations.
WCE received hundreds of replies with encouragement and support for our opposition to this piece of short-sighted and ruinous legislation. So to all CLUBS, their members and officials, pat yourself on the back, we did make a difference and as United Bikers, we have helped alter the Governments Mind.
Remember, Bikers are VOTERS, the Government do.
Bazz. Because of the response to this Notice and the level of your support, we have decided to add a Club Links page on our Web Site, so if your interested in giving us a link back from your site, then please let us know. No web site ? then just let us have details and we will put your Club on with an e-mail addy.
The Department for Transport,
Local Government and the Regions
are planning on making changes to the
"Use Classes Order and Temporary Uses Provisions"
They propose legislation that would no longer permit the "temporary use of any land for
any purpose in a period of not more than 28 days in total in any calendar year,
and the provision on the land for any moveable structure for the purposes of that use."
They would then control all events that take place.
Planning permission would have to be obtained from Councils Etc, and we know how they love Bikers
If this legislation goes unchallenged it could end or at least affect many bike meets.
You have about 2 weeks from now to put in your objections, or considerations.
Please visit the following site to see if it affects you, or your Club.
If we can be of any help, then please contact us,
at : email@example.com
If you think it's worth while, tell others.
Strength is, United Bikers.
